1. Get a massage to reduce those isolation stress knots
Social isolation and losing your job does a body no favors. You feel tense when you’re stressed, which can make your body feel stiff. Once the lockdown ends, get those stressed knots kneaded out at your local spa. Weeks and weeks of stress does a number on your shoulders and neck, so a good deep-tissue treatment will help ease your tension and stimulate blood circulation. While you’re waiting for your masseuse to be available, try stretching stiff areas and using a foam roller for your knots. Quarantine affects how everyone feels, which can take a toll on your appearance.
2. Wax your unshaved legs (and any other areas)
Shaving is a choice, and we respect your choice to keep or remove hair. Lots of folks who choose to shave body hair may have not been so diligent with their shaving/waxing/plucking/depilatory use. Aire Beverly Hills understands, if there’s nowhere to go, why get shaving cuts or use a smelly hair removal treatment (looking at you Nair, fresh scent my ass)? Once your local esthetician is open for business, they’ll likely be happy to have you in their shop. There is no better way to start life after lockdown than with smooth limbs, on-point eyebrows, or a bikini line ready for the beach. You may want to remove the hair on your head too.
3. You’re probably due for a haircut
You can shave from home, you may be able to get your quarantine partner to give you a back rub, but not too many people can skillfully cut your hair. People may not even bother to brush or wash your hair, why would they cut their hair? Regardless, a couple of months is a long time for your hair to grow and potentially get out of hand. Once this lockdown is done, your hairstylist will be glad to see you, and so will your manicurist.
4. Treat yourself to a mani and/or pedi
Your nail polish at home may look nice, but nothing compares to a fresh from the salon manicure or pedicure. Also, the nail artists know how to paint on patterns and stick jewels on nails. Even if you have professional nail art skills, you at least won’t have to hunch over your nails to do it yourself. At this point, going out to do anything sounds appealing, even if it’s something you know how to do. You can only go the DIY route for so long.
Yes, there are at-home recipes, but getting a facial done at a beauty salon is so much better. The ingredients are higher quality, you can ask the professionals for beauty advice and you get to leave the house. In addition to the high-quality ingredients, you don’t have to go through the trouble of making the mask yourself or staining any of your home surfaces. Besides, can you really do a 24k gold facial from home? We highly doubt it.
